A native of Cincinnati, OH, Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Technology from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio in 1984. In 1993, he received a Masters degree in Industrial Management from Wesleyan University in Indianapolis.
